DRISTI works towards the upliftment of the underprivileged by providing education to children and empowerment to women through skill development and awareness programs.

Our vision is to bridge the gap between the fortunate and the not-so fortunate people by imbibing values and creating consciousness about the major necessities in today’s life.

WHO WE ARE

We are a non-profit organization working for the upliftment of rural sector through interventions in multiple domains, with a vision to impact the society through technological integration.

From its humble beginning as “The BIT Mesra Boys’ Club” back in 2013, DRISTI today is a nationally recognized NGO with a network of 300+ volunteers and marking its presence in four regions across the country. Our interventions span across education, health, skill development and women empowerment.

 
 
PILLARS

DAMINI

DAMINI is the wing of DRISTI which is focused on improving the socio-economic and health statuses of womenfolk in rural areas. DAMINI has been empowering the women across the country with its remarkable projects such as Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program, Sanitary Pad Distribution Campaign and Food-Processing Vocational Training.

DISHA

DISHA means direction. All our activities in which we guide people towards a particular approach comes under DISHA. This includes career counselling sessions and awareness sessions on government schemes. We conduct sessions for the children and youth to make them more aware of the opportunities ahead.

DAKSHA

DAKSHA means skilful or competent. Events like computer education and vocational trainings complete the word DAKSHA. We empathise on creating such personality which will help in creating a positive impact on the society under the guidance of some of the brightest mind we have.

DIKSHA

DIKSHA is the chapter of DRISTI dedicated to imbibing the importance of education in the rural areas and providing better learning opportunities to the underprivileged kids. DIKSHA has touched the lives of over 200 children with its noteworthy projects such as classroom learning program – DRISTI Classes; scholarship program – Shining Star Scholarship; and school up-gradation program – Udaan.

LALPUR

Since its inception in July 2018, DRISTI Lalpur Chapter functions with around 25 volunteers joining the team every year. The chapter has organized numerous health camps, provided tuitions to students of various nearby villages and successfully carried out pad distribution campaigns for rural women. They have been instrumental in increasing awareness, providing education in rural areas and constantly working to break unjust shackles of societal cultures.

DEOGHAR

DRISTI Deoghar Chapter came into being in 2013 and adopted two villages: Ratanpur and Simeria. Beginning with surveys on condition of education, health, women and government, the chapter has impacted many lives in these village areas. Computer classes, career counselling, sessions on women empowerment, various awareness drives on social and health issues are few success highlights of the work done in the chapter.

DELHI

DRISTI Delhi Chapter started in 2019, kicking off with an Internship Programme for Delhi University students in the fields of Policy Research and Social Media Marketing. With the expansion of DRISTI to Delhi, the team now has set the direction to kindle ideas for new projects through Policy Research.

MESRA

DRISTI Mesra Chapter is the founding grounds of DRISTI. Started in 2013, this Chapter has marked its presence in villages of Jharkhand – Panchauli, Humbai, Rudia and Mesra West. The chapter has been successful in organizing various health camps, pad distribution drives, menstrual hygiene campaign, classes for children, skill development workshops and vocational training programs for women.  With a team which grows by 30 volunteers every year, the chapter continues to embark on its endeavour with utmost dedication and willingness to bring change.
